Welcome to my website, here you will find my designs and what I have worked on in the past.
My name is Samantha Lindsey and I am currently in my third and final year of studying communication design at the Otago Polytechnic. I have a strong passion for creating visual content for people to interact with, consume and enjoy.
My main focus at the moment is to work on making games, I enjoy the design and arty side of it though as I am useless at the technical coding part. The elements I enjoy doing the most are the aspects of storytelling, character design and developments / revisions and anything else to do with the ‘look’ of the game in general.
Purpose and Vision Statement
I love spreading creativity, and bouncing ideas around and I have a fiery passion for creating entertaining content. I want to become well known within the gaming industry and make a good name for myself as a future creative director.
Mission Statements
-I will put myself in situations where I am able to challenge myself, learn new skills and develop current skills.
-I will apply for internships and try to get my name out there in the industry. I will also gain client work to help with this vision / goal.
-I will make good use of the opportunities given to me and take advantage of people giving me tips and advice.
-I will continuously practise my drawing and painting skills in order to improve, and actively post my progress onto my social media accounts on platforms such as Tumblr, Instagram and Pinterest.
Values Statement
Values that I will try my best to uphold when creating design outcomes in the future: reliability with consumers, economic and environmental sustainability, inclusivity and diversity, innovative ideas, creating impacts on society, and produce creativity in an entertaining and unique way.
Positioning Statement
I believe that I can provide interesting, engaging and developable ideas that give future industries, that I may work with, an edge and keeps our game studio relevant, exciting and alive.
